We're so GLAD you came by to learn more about our squadron. We are a diverse group of young and experienced members actively participating in all 3 missions: Emergency Services, Aerospace Education and Cadet Programs. The Muskogee squadron was chartered in 1972 and is one of the oldest continuing squadrons in the Oklahoma Wing.
CAP has some 61,000 senior and cadet members in over 1,500 local units in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and at numerous overseas Air Force installations. CAP members are civilians and are not paid by the US Air Force or Federal Government for their service. Rather, the organization is 100% volunteer. In Oklahoma, we are lucky to have more than 650 volunteer members, pretty evenly split between seniors and cadets. Locally, the Muskogee Nighthawks have 24 members and that number is constantly growing.
The Civil Air Patrol motto, to which all members ascribe, is "Semper Vigilans", Latin for "Always Vigilant". All CAP members are also obligated by their service to the organization to abide by its core values: integrity, volunteer service, excellence, and respect.
Please navigate around and learn more about our squadron, we're always looking for adults with special skills that can assist us in our 3 missions in addition to young adults who are interested in the military, aviation and young adults who posses the desire to become productive members of their community.
JOIN US and be a large part of Citizens Serving Communities!
